MCW Photographers Hall of Excellence

Dear friends of classic automobiles,

As part of the Arte Sobre Ruedas – Art on Wheels project, we are pleased to introduce photographer Marcel Färber.

Marcel Färber has an extraordinary gift for capturing automotive subjects in black and white with his Leica camera in a way that sets his work apart from everyday car photography.

We consider Färber’s excellent photographs to be an important way of documenting the art of design on wheels.

We hope you enjoy viewing the photographs.

Marcel Färber

My photographs tell a story—sometimes quietly, sometimes intensely, but always personal and unposed. I work both digitally and analog on 35mm film.

My name is Marcel Färber. I was born in 1981 in Schwerte an der Ruhr and now live with my wife and our two children in beautiful Münster.

Photography has been an integral part of my life for over twelve years. Inspired by the birth of my first son, I began to view everyday life more intently through the lens.

Nowadays, my Leica M accompanies me almost everywhere. With it, I capture special moments—from spontaneous family scenes to striking street scenes that convey both emotion and history.

As a co-founder of the street photography collective Phönix, I work together with two photographer friends to capture authentic moments.

My great passion is car photography—where design, aesthetics, and technology come together.

Combined with the extraordinary light and Mediterranean atmosphere of my favorite island, Mallorca, I have been able to capture numerous striking images here as well.

I am delighted to be able to give you a glimpse into my work here.

Best regards

Marcel Färber
